About the Role

CSS WIND based in Carp, Ontario, Canada located at 2336 Craig’s Side Road, P.O. Box 129, K0A 1L0 is
seeking 10 to 12 Windmill Repairers for a 2-year, full-time position at 44 hours per week & overtime will
be required. Successful candidates will work throughout Canada in various locations. It will be necessary
for the candidates to read, write, listen & speak in English. This position per hour is currently $32.00-$37.00
CAD. The main duties will be to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair stationary industrial machinery.

Education required is completion of Grade 12 or equivalent, and preference will be given to those who
have the following certificates: Occupational Health and Safety, First Aid, CPR and Hoisting & Rigging
Training. Experience of five years or more in the field of industrial machinery repair (specific or general).
Be willing to provide basic security clearance, criminal record check, and have a valid driver’s license.
Work conditions are physically demanding, there will be bending, crouching, kneeling, standing for
extended periods, handling heavy workloads. The position requires attention to detail and ability to
work under pressure. Further the successful candidates will be required to work at heights, in noisy
environments, and in confined spaces. As this is a team, you must be a team player and have excellent
oral communications. Overtime will be required. Transportation to and from worksites within Canada
will be provided. Accommodations will also be provided.


The successful candidate will:

• Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications

• Detect & troubleshoot irregularities & malfunctions

• Operate hoisting and lifting equipment

• Inspect and examine machinery and equipment to detect and investigate irregularities and


• Operate machine tools to fabricate parts

• Clean, lubricate and perform other routine maintenance work on machinery

• Ability to climb wind turbines up to 110 meters high

• ·Able to renovate & restore the turbine, along with rigging & handling and be able to


• Able to handle weight of up to 23kg (50lbs)

• Experience with tool grinders, turbines, power tools, hydraulic system, electrical & electronic

controls, and hand tools
